Sovrav Ganguly fondly known as Dada is at the edge of his cricketing career. He has faced more humiliations than any other cricketer. Is this the right way to treat a player who has scored more than 10000 runs in ODIs and neraly 7000 runs in test match. He is one the finest left hand batsman Indian has ever produced. Dada is the only Indian to score century at Lord's as a debutant. Sachin is yet to score a century at Lord's. Am not comparing sachin and dada. Both of them are the pillars of the golden era of Indian cricket. Young Indian team is good to see , but it doesn't mean that the senior players should be forced to retire. He his the highest run getter in ODI for the year 2007-2008 with a batting average of over 56. No one can forget the last match of the Kolkatta Knight Riders in the IPL in which dada hit 86 off just 53 balls . When 15 runs were needed in the last over , he scored that in just 3 balls. He should be given a fair chance in IPL and ODIs. Lets wait and see what happens in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
