The Jammu & Kashmir polls see mixed reactions from the people. This is the first election in j&k after the 2002 election which was a complete mess. There were some doubts among the people whether the elections will go fine and what will be the reaction of the public. Surprisingly, nearly 62 % people turned out to vote at the ganderbal district. Some constituencies had deserted polling stations with just the armed security personnel standing. The election commission is happy that atleast this much people came to vot despite the boycott call given by the separatists.
