We Miss You Jumbo

Jumbo, as he is fondly called by everyone is the best spinner India has ever produced. His determination and skill has never let him down in his 18 years of international cricket. Kumble, basically a medium pacer turned spinner wasn't able to produce much turn like an orthodox spinner, but the variation and change of pace with which he was able to deliver the ball was amazing. He is the only bowler to have taken 105 wickets in a season in the english county cricket. He made good use of the fast bowling tracks with his flipper. No one can forget the temperament with which he bowled when he had a broken jaw at the west indies tour. Feroz Shah Kotla has been his favourite hunting grounds since the first match he played there. He is only the second player to take all the 10 wickets in an innings. With 619 test wickets, he is only the 3rd highest wicket taker in test matches. Besides cricket, he is known for his photography. India sure does miss a legendary spinner. Hope he helps India to breed good bowlers like him.
